It's often possible to find keywords that have a competitive cost per click and a good search volume by thinking out of the box and it's essential to keep the likely conversion at the forefront of your mind when selecting keywords.
For example, if you're an online store selling light bulbs ("Glühbirnen" in German) and someone just searches for "Glühbirnen", then they're likely to be at the early stage of the decision making process, however if they look for "Osram 9 watt", it indicates they've already chosen the kind of bulb they want to buy and aren't just looking for information. By targeting these specific keywords, you'll generate a better return on investment.
